Kerala style Mulaku Bajji preparation methods

Ingredients

Bajji  chillies   -  4

Gram  flour ( Besan Powder)   -  ½ cup

Rice flour -  2 table spoon

Chilly powder  -  ½ tea spoon

Soda powder -  ½ tea spoon

Cumin seed. Turmeric powder, hing powder  -  small

White sesame seed  (ellu)  -  1 table spoon

Tamarind juice -  1 table spoon

Onion – finely chopped  - little

Water -  as required

Salt – as required

Oil  - for Frying


Method of preparation 

Take besan flour, rice flour, salt, turmeric powder, cumin seed, chilly powder and soda powder  and mix all . Add required water into it and mix well to make a thick batter.  The batter should be very thick.   Slit  the green chilly and remove the seeds from from it. Take finely chopped onions and ginger . Add sesame seed and tamarind juice into it and make a fine paste. Then stuff this mix inside the  stuffed green chilly. Then dip  each stuffed chilly into  the prepared batter and deep fry in oil till it get golden colour. Mulaku Bajji Ready
