Palada Pradhaman

Palada Pradhaman (Payasam) 

Ingredients:

  • Dried Ada – 1 cup
  • Thick Coconut Milk – 2 cups
  • Jaggery/Sugar – ½ cup
  • Cardamom Powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Cashew Nuts & Raisins – A few
  • Ghee – 2 teaspoons

Preparation Method:

  1. Soak the dried ada in warm water until it softens.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the cashew nuts and raisins until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, melt the jaggery with a little water. Once it thickens, add the softened ada.
  4. Stir well and cook until the mixture reaches the desired consistency. Then, add the thick coconut milk and bring it to a gentle boil.
  5. Add cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts, and raisins. Mix well and cover.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!
